A discussion is a conversation thread attached to a course. Everybody who can see the course can read it.
Step 1. Click Discussions in the left-hand menu.
Step 2. Click Start a discussion.
Step 3. Choose the Course, type a Title, and write the Opening post. All three are required.
Discussions belong to a course. Step 4. Click Start discussion.
Locking keeps the conversation readable
A locked thread can still be read but takes no new replies. Use it when a question has been answered, instead of deleting it.
What you should see
The thread appears under that course and people can reply.
